  • Outdated if not rubbish

    The was a quite verbose as a woman reading it for the first time I was more interested in the author as I kept reading this book. I wonder where he got his perspective on a woman's physical psychosocial wellbeing very perplexing and disturbing.

    I've been wanting to read this classic for a long time. I was not disappointed!! I couldn't put it down even though it was quite long. I was surprised at how racy it was especially for the times, like a 1920's Fifty Shades of Grey! But well written fantastic adventure and story of love.

    I couldn't put it down. I read every word even though the Author is quite long winded on the subject of classes. I guess it's the English way. The two lovers were wonderful! I wish I knew if they were happy in the end. I'd recommend this book to all romance fans.

    I'm glad to have read this book because it is a classic. However, I didn't really enjoy it. I found the main character, Connie, to be absolutely annoying. There are also many typographical errors in this edition.
  • Great book, bad digitization

    Very good book, but not for you if you are offended by four letter words. This edition has evidently not been proofread, as there are numerous typos that look to be nothing more than scanning errors. Four out of five for the annoyance, not for the content.
